For about a year now, KNESS has been running a program of comprehensive support and assistance for mobilized employees, veterans returning to work from military service, and their families. Our specialists maintain constant contact with each soldier and their family: from the moment of mobilization, throughout the entire period of service, during demobilization and return to civilian life and work.
“For socially responsible businesses, readiness to welcome back female and male veterans into the team is a priority. To do this, it is important to be in the context of the here and now, to constantly research the problems and needs of soldiers and veterans. KNESS is already on this path. We are looking forward to the return of each of our Defenders. That is why last year we launched a program to support and accompany mobilized employees, veterans and their families. We have been supporting and will continue to support our colleagues who are now defending our country. This is not just a civil duty for us. Taking care of our team is part of our corporate values. In addition, we are ready to strengthen our team with veterans, including many professionals in various fields. Our task is to provide decent opportunities for career development to everyone” – told Ivan Vekirchyk, co-founder of KNESS.
+ systematically providing material and social support, assistance in retraining and returning to work after discharge from military service
+ providing legal advice and support on various legal issues
+ supporting soldiers, veterans and their families in all challenging administrative processes
+ providing information support, explaining the rights, benefits, available services and opportunities for veterans and their families: in personal communication, through the group chat “Kolo Svoikh” or by sharing the developed guidelines
+ helping to find programs and institutions for veterans’ rehabilitation that meet individual requirements and needs
At the same time, we are working on adapting the team to the veterans’ return: we are preparing short tips for managers and inviting experts to give lectures on the specifics of communication and interaction with veteran employees. And to stay in the common context, we have a separate section in our internal corporate communications where our mobilized colleagues talk about their everyday life, deeds and motivation to be in the army.
“To build a veteran-friendly environment, we have created a comprehensive support program, set up and automated reintegration and adaptation processes, prepared opportunities for retraining and learning, and trained a team. We are constantly in touch with soldiers and veterans and strive to help them with their requests as quickly and efficiently as possible. The main principle of our program is an individual approach to everyone who defends the country. We continue to improve our work, receiving valuable feedback from soldiers, veterans and their families. We support everyone, work hard and prepare to meet our fellow defenders with dignity in the team” — comments Lyudmyla Savyuk, the initiator of the support program.
