We have completed the construction of a rooftop solar power station with a peak capacity of 730 kW. This is the second project for the same shopping center chain, fully financed and implemented on a turnkey basis by KNESS.
With KNESS’s investor business model, the consumer did not invest any funds in the construction of the solar station, but rather received:
- renewable energy source for own consumption
- electricity at a price below market rates (under contract with KNESS)
- monthly income from renting out free space under the SPP
- profit from the sale of surplus electricity generated by the SPP as an “active consumer”
- maintenance of the facility at no cost to the customer.
After 6 years, the solar station will become the property of the electricity consumer (shopping center) free of charge.
Such projects are an example of how renewable energy is now profitable and accessible for companies that choose sustainable development and the path to energy independence in cooperation with KNESS. Moreover, distributed generation within the consumer’s perimeter works both for the needs of the business and to support the stability of our country’s energy system.
