Representatives of the hromadas (communities) within the EXCITE project visited KNESS for a study visit.
We were happy to share our experience and cases of implementing energy-efficient solutions based on renewable energy sources with the communities of Myrhorod, Khotyn, Trostianets, and Chortkiv.
The representatives talked to Serhii Kravchuk, Director of Electricity Trading and Supply at KNESS, about the Group’s mission, goals and activities, as well as modern and cost-effective approaches to energy management. Among other things, the visitors got acquainted with the specifics of the KNESS dispatch center, which manages solar power plants with a total capacity of more than 1 GW in real time. They also visited our production facility, which exports supporting metal structures for PV modules to European countries.
The meeting took place as part of a two-day study visit of community representatives who came to Vinnytsia to learn from the experience in the context of the European Energy Award (EEA) implementation. The EXCITE project is an initiative of the Association “Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine” as part of a consortium of international partners from Switzerland and Austria under the EU’s “Horizon 2020” program.
