Solar power plant “Auces” with a peak capacity of almost 4 MW, which was implemented by our KNESS Baltic team on a general contractor (EPC) basis in Latvia, has started generating power.
The plant was completed on a turnkey basis in 5 months, which also includes the facility commissioning, which lasted about 2 months. During the construction, Ukrainian mounting structures for bifacial photovoltaic modules by KNESS were used. The facility is located near the town of Autze.
The solar power plant started the output of the first kWh of clean energy to the grid at the end of May as part of testing and trials. The facility will reduce carbon emissions by about 4 tons annually.
The customer and developer of the project is Volterra Energy Group, a renewable energy development and investment management company. The company supports the Ukrainian economy by attracting Ukrainian expertise and developing export potential. We thank our partners, and together we are contributing to Europe’s achievement of climate neutrality by 2050.
