On March 28, Director of KNESS RnD Center Yevhen Didichenko joined the Hardtalk: Renewables in details event. This is a frank and informal meeting of active participants in the renewable energy market in a new format to discuss the transformation of the energy sector.
Renewable energy project developers, investors and businesses were discussing compensating for the imbalance by the electricity producers and the new auction system that is about to come into force: “It may surprise someone, but we support the introduction of auctions. It is obvious that this law is now very relevant and necessary. The market must be a market, only then development will continue. ”
Yevhen spoke on behalf of the KNESS Group as one of the rainmakers of the renewable energy market in Ukraine, and shared his vision for the further development of the energy sector.
“Ukraine has a strategy for the development of renewable energy, but no vision. At the state level, there is no vision for the transition to 100% renewable by 2050. That is the goal set by other countries. The existing strategy prioritizes various industries at once, including gas production and nuclear energy. Today we need a focus on where we are going and what kind of country we want to see in the future ”- Yevhen Didichenko.
