Ivan Vekirchyk and Ievgen Didichenko, co-founders of KNESS, in an expert circle of the Council for Strategic Development of the Vinnytsia City Territorial Community

Сo-owners of KNESS Ivan Vekirchyk and Ievgen Didichenko are among those who have joined in updating Vinnytsia’s development strategy taking into account current realities. Along with them, representatives of the authorities and residents of the city joined the Council for Strategic Development of the Vinnytsia City Territorial Community: representatives of various professions and communities, business, educational and cultural institutions, public organizations, etc.

During the first strategic session, participants in the expert panel listened to a presentation of the results of previous surveys and SWOT analysis regarding perceptions of Vinnytsia today. It was pleasant to hear that KNESS was mentioned in the context of our city’s economic strengths — in the category of large businesses of national and international scale. Subsequently, the experts divided into mixed groups and elaborated their recommendations for the development vectors of our community. The TOWS analysis methodology was used in the work. Work on the strategy will continue until April 2026.

In KNESS, we feel personally responsible for our future. This is engraved in our values. We also believe that the right decisions can only be found through cooperation. That is why we openly share our experience, knowledge, and vision. This time, we are searching for priority vectors for the further development of our community.

“It’s crucial to occasionally take off the ‘private individual’ or ‘entrepreneur’ hat and put on the ‘citizen’ hat — to advocate for public needs and help strengthen our city’s advantages while keeping in mind the context in which we live. The foundation for the development of any city is human capital. In Vinnytsia, we have strong specialists in the fields of IT, medicine, agriculture, electronics, and energy. We have the potential to develop powerful IT hubs, high-tech, environmentally friendly enterprises, and innovative centers for the exchange of expertise in the fields of smart agriculture, advanced medicine, and energy. With our cutting-edge knowledge, sustainable approaches, and experience, we can attract not only the residents of Vinnytsia and Ukrainians, but also the whole world. And it is precisely these “big, global projects” that will retain and attract both investors and young people. After all, young people stay where there is a “life’s work” in which they can fulfill their most ambitious professional goals and change an entire industry for the better,” believes Ievgen Didichenko.

“During the session, there was a lot of talk about the importance of retaining young people in the city. This is possible thanks to the creation of modern cultural and educational spaces, RnD centers, where one can gain relevant knowledge and be inspired to engage in innovative creativity. That is why KNESS cooperates with educational institutions to exchange practical, advanced experience with students. Vinnytsia has multifaceted potential to become a magnet for young people. Here, it is possible to develop an innovative agricultural processing cluster and logistics center, which is particularly important for the country’s defense capabilities. Medical tourism can be developed, as we have a strong university and valuable practical experience, accumulated in particular during the years of war, as well as beautiful places that are worth visiting. With the introduction of a sustainable development and innovation approach in all sectors, especially in the context of European integration, Vinnytsia should compete not with other cities in Ukraine, but with leading cities around the world”, shared Ivan Vekirchyk.

Our team doesn’t just believe in change, we’re already making our vision for the future happen today: in what we do and in how we talk with our coworkers, the government, and the community. We’re creating an environment of opportunity, growth, innovation, and investment in our city, especially in the energy sector.
