Business Ombudsman of Ukraine and her team visited KNESS

Anka Feldhusen, Ukraine’s Business Ombudsman, and her team made a working visit to KNESS.

During a meeting with KNESS’s co-owners Sergii Shakalov and Ivan Vekirchyk, and KNESS’s Commercial Director Tetiana Petrovska, the visitors spoke openly about:

  • KNESS’s vision for the transformation of Ukraine’s energy system
  • solutions and plans already implemented that are bringing this vision closer to reality
  • the challenges facing large businesses in Ukraine, particularly in the energy sector, and ways to overcome them

“KNESS sees Ukraine’s future energy system as distributed, resilient, carbon-neutral, and independent of fossil fuels, where every consumer has a real impact on their electricity prices. And we are already working to bring this vision to life: we are building energy storage systems and RES capacity. We have the necessary expertise in both the implementation of such projects and their technical and commercial management” — notes Sergii Shakalov, СЕО of KNESS.

Following the discussion, attendees were invited to observe the operations of the KNESS dispatch center, which, thanks to its own hardware and software solution, manages solar and wind power plants as well as energy storage systems with a total capacity of 1.93 GW in Ukraine, Poland, and Latvia 24/7. Visitors were also toured around KNESS’s production facilities.

We would like to thank Ms. Anka Feldhusen and her team for their visit and their openness to dialogue. Close cooperation between the business community and the government is essential for building a sustainable economy in our country.
