The key benefits and updated features of PV.SCADA

PV.SCADA software system by KNESS has become even more secure, reliable, user-friendly, responsive, and other than that trained artificial intelligence.

Our RnD Center development team takes great care of the software package they have developed, systematically improving and upgrading it. All this is to ensure that PV.SCADA, which is the main tool of the KNESS Service dispatch center, improves the quality of services for the operational management and maintenance of solar power plants, minimizing generation losses.

What are the key benefits and updated features of PV.SCADA now?

Quick scalability: the new version makes it possible to deploy the system in any country in just one day and quickly integrate the required number of electrical facilities.

Improved cybersecurity: a number of security measures were implemented based on the findings of an external audit.

High reliability level: the system has achieved fault-free operation thanks to hot backup on a local independent server. This allows for uninterrupted facilities management, even if the main server fails in the cloud environment.

High-speed performance: thanks to changes in the architecture of the software package and other measures, the system has become about 4 times faster, in particular in terms of response to commands.

Advanced features: in order to improve the informativeness, reporting and control of equipment operation at solar power plants, automatic reports on forecasting and efficiency of the solar station, functions for remote control of circuit breakers, control signals about deviations in the grid, automated reading and data saving on protection operation from relay protection devices, and much more have been implemented.

“PV.SCADA has been modernized at the request of the dispatch center. This is about an integrated approach. The joint work of the developers and dispatchers who use the software on a daily basis made it possible to create and constantly modernize a truly unique and comprehensive product in terms of functionality. The new version of the software system has significantly increased the level of operational management over the facilities under management. In particular, some of the system’s functions are now fully automated. For example, in case of deviations of the grid and plant’s parameters from the set ones, we automatically receive notifications, which allows us to work proactively: timely localize the damage and optimize the time for its elimination,” said Serhii Mysenko, Deputy Technical Director for Operations,  KNESS Service.
