Restoring energy infrastructure in times of war is about the courage, resilience and professionalism of power engineers. Ukrainian specialists have become examples of excellence for the world’s power engineers. This is confirmed by the daily efforts of experienced professionals who are rebuilding generating facilities, substations, and other facilities for the energy stability of our country.
Our team and industry colleagues are working together to restore the energy infrastructure after the hostile shelling. Recently, our specialists have restored the operation of one of the solar power plants with a peak capacity of 11 MW, which is under operation and maintenance in a frontline city. In just 2 days, the team replaced a transformer, an inverter, 10 kV load, and fuse switches and repaired four 500 kW inverters. In a short time, they managed to restore the plant’s efficiency by 30%.
“Despite various difficulties, we managed to complete all the necessary emergency repair work at the facility in the shortest possible time,” said the head of the KNESS Service operation department.
Decentralized energy sources are important for stabilizing the voltage in the grid of frontline cities. And solar energy has become an obvious and important tool for strengthening energy independence.
As a result of russian aggression, thousands of solar panels across Ukraine have been cut by metal fragments. Our team has already dismantled and reinstalled more than five thousand solar modules.
In addition, our extensive experience and qualifications were helpful in restoring 330 kV circuit breakers at one of the critical infrastructure facilities.
We are continuing to restore energy facilities and use our many years of experience in the energy sector to help the country.
The reconstruction is a testament to the fact that the country continues to stand and, moreover, to develop against all odds.
Together to Victory. This is our common endeavor.
