KNESS has implemented a turnkey solar power plant with a capacity of 314 kW with its own investments on the roof of powder material production facilities. Metal structures manufactured by KNESS, specially designed for mounting on sloping metal roofs using high-strength adhesive, were used to install the photovoltaic modules.
Now the enterprise will also generate revenue from leasing its 1,471 m2 of roof space for the production of green electricity, which it will consume for its own needs. The planned average annual output of clean electricity from the newly built station is about 360,000 kWh. Under the electricity purchase and sale agreement, the company will purchase the entire volume of SPP generation from KNESS at a significant discount from the market price, including electricity transmission tariffs. KNESS also plans to provide further maintenance of the rooftop solar power station, purchase surplus generation after obtaining the status of an “active consumer,” and electricity supply. In six years, the solar power station will become the company property.
As an investor and general contractor, KNESS has already implemented a number of turnkey rooftop solar power plants. We implemented the first project based on this business model back in 2024. Therefore, the opportunity for companies to optimize their electricity costs and obtain their own solar power plant without any capital investment has been proven in practice.
