KNESS in the discussion panel “Regional Innovation Hubs: Development Prospects'' within IP WEЕK 2024

Olga Kuzmenko, Director of KNESS RnD Centre took part in the discussion panel “Regional Innovation Hubs: Development Prospects” within IP WEЕK 2024 | IP&Innovations Hub Day. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, business, scientists and the professional community discussed the possibilities of Ukraine’s innovative development. 

“Recent trends in innovation tend to opt for the Triple Helix model, which involves high-quality interaction and coordination between government, science, and business. I am convinced that the cooperation of these three pillars is essential for the technological development of any industry in Ukraine. We have been observing and analyzing from a business perspective how startup accelerators, startup schools, and other innovative projects are developing in Ukraine and abroad for years. And now we may see that the process of implementing innovative projects is gaining features of consistency, in particular thanks to the IP&Innovations Hub initiative. How do we see the role of business in this process? It is a business that can form knowledge-intensive orders for universities that are consistent with both its goals and pressing national needs in accordance with approved state strategies. The government, science, and business should work together to support the national economy and look for advanced solutions that will allow the country to be competitive in the global market. I really hope that in the near future we will see examples of high-quality joint projects or collaborations aimed at the innovative development of our country”— Olga shared her thoughts after the event.
