Under an EPC contract, KNESS implemented a solar power plant along with an energy storage for an agribusiness. The company is engaged in fruit growing. Now, solar energy powers not only the fruit orchards, but also the pumping systems used to irrigate them. During peak generation hours, when there is excess electricity, it is stored in the ESS and is available for consumption during hours of reduced generation or increased demand.
Technical characteristics of the energy facility
SPP capacity: 130 kW
Metal structures: manufactured by KNESS
Area: 1606 m2
СО2 emissions reduction: 156 tons/year
Energy storage capacity: 246 kW*h
SPP+ESS model: meeting own needs + electricity storage (without output to the external grid)
The capacity of the ground-based SPP and ESS are sufficient to cover all of the agricultural company’s electricity needs. All equipment for the facility, including the ESS and hybrid inverter, was selected, delivered, installed, and commissioned by KNESS specialists.
More and more Ukrainian businesses are embarking on the path to energy independence in partnership with KNESS. We are glad to share our expertise and implement energy-efficient solutions based on RES and ESS to meet consumer needs.
