On March 8-9, Poland hosted one of the largest energy exhibitions in Central and Eastern Europe called ENEX 2023.
The event brought together more than twenty thousand visitors and energy industry experts from all over the world. Our KNESS Polska team also presented products, and services and shared its strong experience in the renewable energy sector among the international energy companies .
Are you curious about the most exciting and innovative developments we encountered during the two-day event?
We are sharing an overview of innovations and insights:
- During the Central Hydrogen Cluster conference, exhibiting companies discussed the possibility of implementing hydrogen technologies in Poland. The British company Rolls-Royce SMR presented the technology for the construction of small hydrogen power stations. The construction of the first reactor in Poland is planned for 2032.
- The main ideas during the discussions: the rapid development of the Polish solar energy market, it is expected that by the end of 2023 the share of solar generation will be about 15 GW (in 2022 – 10 GW); intentions to scale up zero-CO2 energy sources in Poland by 2030, which can potentially generate 4 TWh of clean energy per year.
- A significant amount of equipment for PV power plants was presented: energy storage systems, hybrid inverters with an energy storage system for household consumers, solar photovoltaic modules, supporting metal structures for ground and roof solar stations of various types, etc.
- Microinverters for converting direct current electricity into alternating current at the level of solar panels. The manufacturer Projoy announced an increase in the efficiency of photovoltaic modules by 25% due to the installation of such microdevices in each panel.
- Electric cars: new models of electric cars were presented – Mercedes EQB, EQC, EQS and EQS SUV, Fiat 500 and Fiat Ducato, Citroen eC4, Mazda MX-30 and CX-60, Mercedes-Benz eVito, hybrids – Jeep Grand Cherokee, Hyundai Kona Electric, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Peugeot e-2008 and Opel Mokka-e and even a hydrogen vehicle- Toyota Mirai.
