For KNESS, partnership is not just an agreement, but a strategic interaction where the success of one party is the key to the development of the other, when experts in their field work together and their interaction is based on trust, keeping their word, shared principles, and confidence in a high-quality end result. This approach is at the heart of the partnership between KNESS and Elementum Energy, the largest foreign investor and renewable energy producer in Ukraine.
Since 2019, the KNESS team has been providing comprehensive operational and technical maintenance for 29 solar power plants of Elementum Energy with a total capacity of 538 MW.
We discussed the philosophy of win-win partnership and the specifics of cooperation with KNESS with Oleksandr Makhlaichuk, Technical Director of Elementum Energy.
“For us, win-win cooperation in business means that both parties receive tangible benefits, achieve their goals, and remain completely satisfied with the results of their joint efforts” emphasizes Oleksandr Makhlaichuk. According to Elementum Energy’s Technical Director, this principle is the foundation of a successful business partnership.
“Cooperation between Elementum Energy and KNESS is a good example of a mutually beneficial partnership model. Elementum Energy gains access to KNESS’s innovative solutions in solar energy and benefits from their experience in implementing complex energy projects. At the same time, KNESS has the opportunity to use Elementum Energy’s technological developments to expand the range of services it offers its customers. Working together allows both companies to enter new market niches and improve the efficiency of their business processes. In addition, the exchange of knowledge and experience accelerates the development of new solutions, which is important in the context of the rapid development of renewable energy”, comments Oleksandr Makhlaichuk.
He also shared the key criteria that were decisive for Elementum Energy when choosing a maintenance partner for its energy facilities:
“Technical expertise and practical experience in the renewable energy sector, the capacity to provide stable service quality and minimize facility downtime were key criteria for us. We also paid attention to the company’s reputation in the market, flexibility in approaching the individual needs of our facilities, optimal cost-quality ratio, and the use of modern technological solutions for monitoring and maintenance. KNESS has proven its effectiveness in these areas, making it a reliable partner for ensuring the smooth operation of our energy assets”.
KNESS’s O&M specialists and Elementum Energy’s operational service team have been working together effectively for many years. The teams have established communication, agreed response protocols, and complementary expertise. This synergy allows for maximum availability of energy facilities and rapid elimination of any technical malfunctions that directly affect efficiency and economic performance.
“Our partnership is key to the smooth operation of our energy facilities. First, KNESS’s high level of expertise and proactive maintenance allow us to identify potential problems before they arise. Second, well-established rapid response processes between our teams significantly reduce the time needed to resolve emergencies. This comprehensive partnership not only supports the stable operation of our facilities, but also ensures their improvement, which ultimately has a positive impact on the economic efficiency and long-term reliability of the energy infrastructure”, highlighted Oleksandr Makhlaichuk.
Oleksandr Makhlaichuk also shared his vision of trends in Ukraine’s renewable energy market, noting the active development of wind power generation and energy storage systems. In his opinion, there is growing interest in hybrid solutions, where wind farms are combined with energy storages: “This combination allows for smoothing out uneven generation and increasing energy supply’s stability”.
“Elementum Energy is actively adapting to modern trends, focusing on the development and implementation of effective technological solutions for wind energy. We are expanding our portfolio of wind farm construction projects of various scales. At the same time, we are integrating energy storage systems, which allows us to optimize the use of generated energy and increase the economic efficiency of projects,” the company’s technical director shared the plans.
Partnership between KNESS and Elementum Energy is not just a successful business case, but a demonstration of how mutually beneficial cooperation based on trust, expertise, and a shared commitment to development can become a powerful driver for the renewable energy industry as a whole.
