How can enterprises achieve energy efficiency and make money on the energy market?

What business models can enterprises use to achieve energy independence and generate additional income from operating in the electricity market? Tetiana Petrovska, Chief Marketing Officer of KNESS, addressed this issue during a webinar for participants in the program: “Women’s Power in Energy: New Dimensions of Entrepreneurship” organized by the Women’s Energy Club.

During the online meeting, the speaker shared the experience of KNESS Group’s cooperation with partners under new business models. These are about profitable and sustainable solutions for self-sufficient power supply.

What opportunities are available for enterprises? In her speech, Tetiana outlined the following ones:

  • Obtaining active consumer status: operation under a self-production mechanism with the possibility of selling surplus generation for additional income. What’s more, active consumer status is a gateway to participating in an aggregated group.
  • New business models for active consumers from KNESS: a comprehensive solution for business power supply from a local solar power plant (+ ESS), installed and maintained at KNESS’s expense and transferred to the customer’s ownership free of charge after 6 years.
  • Participation in an Aggregated Group for producers, consumers, active consumers, and ESS operators: the opportunity to actively participate in various market segments through the Aggregator and receive additional income by providing ancillary services, balancing services, etc.

We would like to thank the community of the Women’s Energy Club of Ukraine for the invitation and interest in the topic of distributed generation based on renewable energy sources! Transforming Ukraine’s energy sector together.
