Clean energy partnership: win-win cooperation of businesses developing renewable energy

Today, we would like to share the story of the long-term business cooperation between KNESS and ACCIONA Energia, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies. 

Background

Our international partnership dates back to 2017.  Back then, KNESS and ACCIONA Energia signed the first cooperation contract in a large-scale project. As part of that contract, we acted as a general contractor for an industrial solar power plant implementation. This was the first investment project of our international partner in Ukraine, which we implemented efficiently and successfully. And, as a result, we have strengthened our partnership by fulfilling all subsequent company projects with a total capacity of 105 MW.

Becoming a partner of such a powerful company means meeting the requirements of international business. It means extremely high work criteria, reputation, long-term planning horizon, adherence to the principles of sustainable development and other important aspects. For us, the key value of cooperation with an international partner was gaining significant experience that allowed us to customize our work in accordance with the best international practices, which contributed to the rapid development, scaling of our business and entry into the European market.

Thus, partnership experience between KNESS and Acciona Energia laid the foundation for further long-term cooperation in the maintenance of constructed solar power plants. Since 2019, the companies have also signed O&M contracts. Today, KNESS provides maintenance services for all 6 Acciona Energia’s power facilities in Ukraine.
