"AI as a strategically important tool for business" by Ivan Vekirchyk, co-founder of KNESS at the Business People Club intensive

“Artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future, but a powerful tool to impact the modern business world. It can and should be used today,” Ivan Vekirchyk, co-founder of KNESS, is convinced. At the Business People Club business intensive, the speaker elaborated on this idea using examples of AI application cases in KNESS. 

AI is a strategically important tool for business. How does it work?

• Having used AI technologies in our PV.SCADA product to monitor the operation of renewable energy facilities 7 years ago, KNESS RnD Center team, together with the service department, has achieved an excellent result: an automated process for analyzing the operation of equipment at solar power plants, the opportunity to accurately predict the generation of power facilities, etc. Today, PV.SCADA by KNESS is recognized as one of the best transformational CX solutions in Ukraine (according to UKRAINIAN CX EXCELLENCE’2024).     
• Nowadays, not only developers use AI in their work. For example, our team has learned how to clone a voice for product videos, generate images for their tasks, automate and speed up the vacation process, simplify the analysis of document content, and so on. And this is not a complete list of the possibilities offered by AI. We have already managed to optimize the time spent on routine tasks by 40%. 
• Several software products are in the process of being implemented to automate the process of preparing commercial proposals for the construction of solar power plants and searching for candidates for current job openings in the company.
• Our strategic plans include much more: we plan to develop and implement our own COPILOT, integrate AI into every important product, strengthen the construction and maintenance of electrical facilities with robotics and drones with integrated AI, etc. Indeed, AI is about innovation, automation, personalization, and the potential for development.

“This is not the first time I’ve delivered a lecture on the role of artificial intelligence in business. And every time I prepare, I discover more and more capabilities of neural networks. So, at such events, I not only share our experience but also educate myself: I learn about new services and their capabilities from a practical point of view. I observe the feedback and reaction of the audience, and listen to other experts on the topic. Entrepreneurs see prospects in AI implementation, but not all of them know where to start and how to encourage the team. As for me, the main rule is to try here and now, look for basic training opportunities, and set a specific task for AI. Neural networks can’t do your job in full, but they can handle certain tasks perfectly if you give them a clear prompt and their task” – shared Ivan Vekirchyk.
