KNESS Company Visit of Vinnytsia City Council representatives

Today, representatives of the Vinnytsia City Council had a Company Visit to KNESS.

During the visit Serhii Morhunov, Vinnytsia City Mayor, Andrii Ocheretnyi, Deputy Mayor, Iryna Chernata, Deputy Director of the Economic and Investment Department of Vinnytsia City Council, Sergii Shakalov, СЕО of KNESS and Serhii Kravchuk, Director of Electricity Trading and Supply in KNESS jointly discussed the current state of the energy infrastructure, ways to overcome current and potential energy challenges at the local level and overall, and familiarized themselves with the activities of KNESS Group.

Among other things, СЕО of KNESS spoke about the extensive work of KNESS Group in the development and production of energy storage systems (ESS) for the ancillary services market and balancing of the integrated power system of Ukraine. The visitors had the opportunity to see one of these 1 MW installations by KNESS.

“This energy storage facility is our own technological solution developed, designed and manufactured by the KNESS Group’s facilities. Currently, ESS is at  the certification preparation stage aimed at providing frequency regulation services for the transmission system operator and obtaining the status of a market participant with the functional role of an ESS operator” — mentioned Sergii Shakalov.

The visitors also took a visit to the KNESS RnD Center, where innovations are born, and saw a unique installation for testing ESS and converters. The uniqueness of this complex system lies in the fact that it can simulate the operation of the electric power system in real conditions, which makes it possible to change its parameters, in particular: frequency, voltage and other network parameters in a wide range. 

Moreover, visitors got a chance to see how supporting metal structures (including for export) for solar power plants are manufactured.

A constructive and effective dialogue between business and government means an opportunity to jointly solve problems, respond to challenges, support and develop our country’s economy, starting at the local level. Only through such interaction can new horizons and prospects be achieved.
